This course explores the philosophy of religion and answers questions such as: Does God exist? If God is all-powerful and all-good, why is there suffering? Is there life after death? No previous background in religious studies or philosophy is required. The only requirement is an inquiring mind and an open-hearted interest in finding answers to the “big questions” of religion, existence, life and eternity.

GOALS OF THE COURSE
-Explain the arguments for and against the existence of God
-Argue the causes for and against life after death
-Critically evaluate how these theologies affect the modern church

MEET THE FACULTY MEMBER
Originally hailing from the United Kingdom, Dr. Ian A. H. Bond’s gifting, humor, wit and communication skills have made him a favorite among CLSTG students. Dr. Bond serves as the Executive Director for International Affairs at Columbus Technical College in Columbus, Georgia. He is also President of Teach the Nations, Inc., a faith-based educational and humanitarian NGO, and an ordained minister with Evangel Fellowship International. Dr. Bond has served as a business leader, senior pastor, college professor, university president, entrepreneur, educator, author, motivational speaker and television talk-show host. He also serves on the executive committee of the Association of Christian Educators and Administrators and is a member of the Evangelical Theological Society.
