Description
This course is designed for Christian parents, grandparents, children’s ministry staff and anyone who wants to positively impact the emerging generation. A broad range of topics are covered, including parenting skills, stages of child development, understanding temperament, communication, the dynamics of discipline, instilling self-esteem, how to be a technologically responsible parent and more.

GOALS OF THE COURSE
-Decipher the various stages of child development and better understand how children learn and grow emotionally and physically.
-Gain a deeper knowledge of family communication, teaching children values, meeting their needs, being a good role model, teaching responsibility and service.
-Develop and write a family mission statement and apply it to your family unit.

MEET THE FACULTY MEMBER
Dr. Lon Flippo is a professor and chair of Pastoral Studies at North Central University in Minneapolis, MN. With more than 30 years of pastoral ministry experience, he has written several Christian parenting books and publications related to faith, church and parenting in a secularized society. He has also spoken at national conferences on the topics of family ministry and parenting.
