History of Christianity in America II picks up where Part I left off, guiding students through the transformative events that have shaped the American Church from the Revolutionary era to the present day. Explore the powerful revivals of the 1800s, the spiritual tensions of the Civil War, the rise of Darwinism and the social gospel, and the sweeping revivals of the twentieth century. Special attention is given to the cultural and spiritual upheaval of the 1960s—and how its lasting effects still influence the Church today. This course equips students with a deeper understanding of the spiritual forces that have shaped our nation, helping us discern the times and respond to our calling with clarity and conviction.

MEET THE FACULTY MEMBER
Dr. Stephen Mansfield is a bestselling author, speaker and cultural commentator known for his passionate approach to life and leadership. Born into a military family in 1958, he grew up across Europe, later turning down a college football career after a life-changing religious conversion. With degrees in history, philosophy and theology, he has served as a pastor, founded humanitarian organizations and written acclaimed books, including The Faith of George W. Bush. Now a full-time writer and lecturer, Mansfield influences faith, politics and leadership through his organizations and widely read works.
