(LEGACY COURSE) This course examines the biblical principles of human personality and how personal change occurs. Special focus is placed on the church as God's healing institution, the unique features of Christian counseling, and the development of a biblical approach to counseling.

GOALS OF THE COURSE
-Gain a biblical understanding of human nature, a biblical picture of how emotional/behavioral problems develop, and a biblical strategy for change.
-Understand the framework through which the local church can be seen as a healing agent in society.
-Be motivated to further prepare yourself as a helper and counselor in the Body of Christ.

MEET THE FACULTY MEMBER
Dr. Mike Chapman is an ordained minister and pastor emeritus of City Church (formerly Lee Highway Church of God) in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is a frequent speaker at church conferences, seminars and convocations. Articles by Dr. Chapman have appeared in a variety of Christian and professional periodicals. He is also the author of Discovering Your Spiritual Gifts and co­-author of Discipleship: Discovering the Christ-Life and The Jesus Walk.
