(LEGACY COURSE) This course is an introduction to the Bible – the "Completed Tanakh" – that includes: 1) an overview of the content of the Bible in its historical and geographical context; 2) the Bible's development from ancient manuscripts to modern translations, including the history of the English Bible; 3) the authority of the Bible; and 4) an introduction to the method of inductive Bible Study.

GOALS OF THE COURSE
Understand the canonical process, which explains the relationship between the First Testament and the Second Testament of the Bible as a whole.
Explain how Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ) is the center of the canonical process.
See how the Bible developed in space and time from recitation in ancient Israel and early Church history to written text and modern translations.
Present a case for a positive view on the question of the inerrancy of scripture.

MEET THE FACULTY MEMBER
Dr. Duane Christensen earned his Th.D. from Harvard University. He was a longtime theology professor and author of many books, academic articles and reviews. He was also the founder and president of the BIBAL Corporation, which promotes the study of biblical literature.
