(LEGACY COURSE) Looking at history as a tapestry God weaves in time, this course gives an overview of the major events and ideas of American Christian history before the American Revolution: The Reformation, Christopher Columbus, the Pilgrim and Puritan fathers, the Great Awakening and the spiritual conflicts that led to the American Revolution. Learn to see history as more than "dates and dead people," and recognize that it is the result of God's rule over the affairs of men and nations.

GOALS OF THE COURSE
-Become acquainted with the history of Christianity in America before the American Revolution.
-Perceive the sovereignty of God through a study of history.

MEET THE FACULTY MEMBER
Dr. Stephen Mansfield is a bestselling author, speaker and cultural commentator known for his passionate approach to life and leadership. Born into a military family in 1958, he grew up across Europe, later turning down a college football career after a life-changing religious conversion. With degrees in history, philosophy and theology, he has served as a pastor, founded humanitarian organizations and written acclaimed books, including The Faith of George W. Bush. Now a full-time writer and lecturer, Mansfield influences faith, politics and leadership through his organizations and widely read works.
